It's important to know where you want to be and what it is you are working for. Short, medium and long-term goals are all crucial when starting a fitness journey. Setting out your goals will help me understand what is meaningful to you in your life and how we can get you there.
When we first start to talk about your goals, we will look at what it is that you are striving to achieve in both the long and short-term and how the importance of consistency will play a significant role.
Setting goals that are based on you, such as improving the way you feel and look, losing body fat, fitting into some old clothes and/or gaining lean muscle mass are all types of goals that can be set in an initial consultation. Your clearly defined goals will help me in the design of your specific exercise program. An exercise program that is tailored individually to you, based on your goals and other specifics, will make the difference when it comes to you achieving.
The short-term might involve the next week. For example, how many training sessions you would like to complete. This will help in setting up a habitual change that you may need to make. This change is often the key to achieving your long-term goals.
All of this is very specific to each individual, but what makes personal training so valuable to goal achieving.
